Furniture Makeover!

I've always loved the idea of furniture makeovers. About 2 weeks ago I found myself at a neighborhood garage sale. And lucky for me, there were 2 large wicker chairs that were being sold for $10 each, what a steal! I bought both of them and drove them home. There was a reason however that they were only $10, the chairs had been sun damaged and where in need of some real TLC. Since the wicker wasn't stained and just raw from the sun, I could paint directly. My first choice was to paint them white, my plans for these chairs was to make them accent chairs in my fathers plain and drab family room, so I wanted a color to bring some light. Well, I went to Walmart later that day and bought 11 cans of white spray paint for about .99 cents each. When I got home, I brought the chairs outside and laid a tarp down, to avoid getting any paint on the grass. It's didn't take me long after I started painting, to figure out just how hard it was to get even coverage and not to mention, the white showed EVERY mistake and eventually my arm and wrist started to severely hurt. I did some research on the best way to paint wicker, and an air compressor and spray gun attachment seemed to be the best choice. Well, my step father is a car fanatic and happens to own a large air compressor and spray gun attachment. I read the directions for the spray gun, and began to paint. Well, it turns out, even spraying with the paint gun, white would still show every mistake...I was going to have to do several layers in order to get even coverage. So I decided it was time for a color change, I went to Lowes and bought a gallon of a dark espresso brown in eggshell. As soon as I began painting with this darker color, I noticed how perfectly it covered, by the time I was done I had to beautiful wicker chairs, and the finishing touch, two bright red pillows to add some comfort. So, what do you think?
